Green Parakeets Nesting In A Wall is an original acrylic painting inspired by my memories of seeing bright green parakeets in my local park in South London. Since moving to Hove, I rarely see them anymore, and I found myself missing their flashes of colour and the cheerful sound of their calls.

I came across a beautiful image online of two green parakeets nesting together, and I was instantly drawn to it. The contrast between their vibrant green feathers and the rich, textured red wall was so striking that I wanted to see if I could capture it in paint.

For me, this piece is also about companionship and comfort,  the quiet connection between the two birds and the sense of warmth they bring.
